Rustic Glam Farmhouse Christmas Dining Room Decor

Rustic Glam Farmhouse Christmas Dining Room

Welcome to my rustic glam farmhouse Christmas dining room. This is the first holiday season since I finished the dining room makeover, and I’m excited to share how the space came together. The look blends farmhouse charm with a touch of sparkle, creating a warm, elegant setting for holiday meals and gatherings.

Design Inspiration and Cohesive Decor

I started decorating this dining room first, and many of the items echo pieces used elsewhere in the house—you may recognize ornaments and accents from last year’s mantel and the Christmas shelving in the breakfast area. Repeating colors, textures, and finishes helps the home feel cohesive while still letting each room have its own personality.

Wreath, Mirror, and the Rule of Sparkle

The wreath on the mirror was originally made for the mantel and was inspired by a catalog piece. It set the tone for the room: a mix of natural elements and subtle glitter. Although my unofficial motto this season was “no glitter,” the wreath—complete with frosted branches and glittered reindeer—felt right for the dining room’s dressed-up look.

Sideboard Styling and Vintage Finds

The sideboard and vintage mantel receive special attention: burnished gold trees, frosted branches, a wreath, and a few glittery houses add shimmer without overwhelming the space. I kept the arrangement balanced—tall elements toward the back and smaller accents up front—so the display reads layered and refined, rather than cluttered.

NOEL Christmas Pillow || Worthing Court

I found a place for my NOEL Christmas pillow—one of my favorite seasonal accents. Small textile touches like pillows and throws instantly make the room feel cozy and festive, and they’re an easy way to introduce a seasonal motif without changing the furniture.

Hanging Lanterns and Shelf Displays

The hanging lanterns over the table are simply dressed with a strip of ribbon around each candle. Beneath them, baskets hold a selection of holiday dishes. On the vintage shelf nearby, I mixed metallics, natural textures, and a few ceramic pieces to maintain the farmhouse-meets-glam aesthetic.

Tree and Ornaments

The tree is a curated collection of vintage ornaments combined with newer pieces from last season. I used lighted branches near the top for height and interest, and trailing glitter tape down the tree for a natural, flowing effect. Many ornaments are inspired by nature—cones, birds, and botanicals—so even the shimmery pieces feel grounded and organic.

Simple Table Centerpiece

The dining table centerpiece is intentionally effortless so the table is easy to set for dinner. I folded a frosted pine garland in half, wrapped branches together to create a continuous form, and tucked in natural-colored faux pine sprigs cut from larger picks. A handful of vintage silver candle holders complete the arrangement. I left their natural tarnish intact to enhance the vintage charm rather than making everything match perfectly.

Finishing Touches and Entertaining

With soft lighting, layered textures, and a mix of natural and metallic accents, the dining room feels both festive and inviting. Christmas dinner will feel special here—an intimate, glitter-flecked setting that still reads as warm and welcoming. While this room has the season’s most sparkle, the rest of the house has a different look, and I’ll be sharing those rooms soon.
