I chose beige for our walls because it’s warm and inviting. A slightly different shade of beige on the sofa helps it stand out instead of blending completely into the walls—using varied shades of the same color prevents a room from feeling washed out.
TIP: Pay attention to warm versus cool undertones in beige and white so your accents harmonize with the paint family you’ve chosen.

How Many Colors Are Too Many?

For spring, I kept the fireplace simple with faux cherry blossom stems and a couple of vintage vases. Seasonal updates like switching pillow covers to a bold floral print and changing stems or tabletop accents make the room feel refreshed without a major overhaul.
