STOPPED ME IN MY SCROLL
If you’re wondering where I’ll be this weekend, you’ll find me daydreaming in the gorgeous bathroom shared by House Seven Design on Instagram. That freestanding tub in front of a large window is pure relaxation—and the kind of serene, light-filled space that instantly inspires home decor ideas.
There’s something about a sunny soaking tub that suggests slow mornings and time carved out just for you. Follow Anissa at House Seven Design for plenty of interior styling tips, soft palette inspiration, and chic, timeless details you can adapt to your own home.

OUTFIT INSPIRATION
This week’s outfit inspiration comes from one of my favorite go-to patterns: plaid. It’s classic, easy to wear year-round, and pairs perfectly with simple jewelry and bright sandals for a fresh, casual look.
Right now you can still find a few sizes of this pretty 3/4-length top with a ruffled neckline—it’s a flattering, feminine piece and often marked down. Paired with navy cropped pants and fuchsia sandals, it makes a comfortable travel or weekend outfit that still feels put together.
The product links for the top and the rest of the look are below the image so you can recreate the outfit. I also love layering delicate gold pieces—stacked bracelets, a simple necklace and a multi-band ring give the ensemble a polished finish.

WHAT I’M WATCHING OR READING
These days it feels like big-screen releases are dominated by superhero franchises and video game adaptations, which isn’t my usual preference. I was especially looking forward to Sandra Bullock’s new film, The Lost City, and decided to buy it rather than wait for a rental.
Without giving away spoilers, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. While I enjoyed some moments and the cast’s energy, overall I’d rate it around 2.5 stars from my perspective. If you’ve seen it, I’d love to hear your thoughts—did it land for you or miss the mark?

RECENT PURCHASE I LOVE
As I get older, I’ve noticed my neck skin changing and have tried several neck-firming creams hoping to improve tone and texture. After testing many options, the StriVectin Tightening Neck Cream has been the only product that showed a noticeable difference for me.
I’m not claiming miracles—results vary and topical products can only do so much—but this cream made my skin feel firmer and smoother with consistent use. It’s available from multiple retailers, and if you’re curious it’s worth comparing prices between stores like Amazon and warehouse retailers if you have a membership.

ON THE HOME FRONT
I finally tackled the annual chore of brushing the yellow pollen off the screened porch and gave it a thorough scrub. It’s one of those seasonal tasks I dread, but the payoff is worth it—clean outdoor spaces make warm-weather mornings and evenings so much more enjoyable.
Behind the scenes, I’m planning a little refresh of my breakfast nook. I can’t share all the details yet, but I’m gathering fabrics, trims and paint ideas and testing layouts. If you like cozy dining nooks, keep an eye out—I’ll share the full plan and progress soon, including a step-by-step tour once everything comes together.

Wishing you a relaxing weekend filled with a little inspiration—whether you’re refreshing a room, updating your wardrobe, or simply finding a quiet moment for a soak.
