The Weekly Muse: 10th Edition – Creative Highlights

Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of The Weekly Muse. In this post I share a puppy update, a few favorite finds from my wish list, and a little bit of Christmas-in-July inspiration. Let’s catch up!

My Week at a Glance

How has your week been? If you need a quick answer, one look at the puppy below will tell you how mine has gone. Full of energy, lots of cuddles, and a few challenges.

Bella Grace is now three months old — a cuddly, fluffy ball of joy who keeps me on my toes throughout the day. She’s playful, curious, and constantly discovering the world around her.

She’s starting to get a little scruffy around the edges, so next week we’ll take her to meet the groomer for the first time. For a first visit they’ll usually keep it simple — a gentle introduction to the grooming table, a quick brush-out, and maybe a tidy up. My hope is that she comes home comfortable and a bit neater, and that the experience sets the stage for relaxed future visits.

Potty training has been an adventure, too. It requires patience, consistency, and a lot of fresh air. Small routines and positive reinforcement work wonders, and I’ve found short, frequent trips outside help her learn faster. Of course, the mosquitoes have had their fill of me this week, which has made some of those outings memorable! Laughing through the slightly chaotic moments is part of the fun.

On a family note, I’m relieved to report that my husband is recovering well after his unexpected surgery last week. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes — they meant a lot. We’re celebrating small victories at home, and I’m grateful that he’s been cleared to bend over again. It’s a simple movement you don’t think about until someone else is doing it for you, and we both appreciate that independence returning.

On My Wish List

If you’re new here, I have a Weekly Favorite Finds page where I share a curated collection of items each week. It’s easy to find on the site near the top, and I update it regularly with home decor, fashion, linens, and more.

This week I’m especially smitten with a few pieces that feel timeless and versatile. First up: green chinoiserie ginger jars. They bring instant personality to a mantel, console, or coffee table and work beautifully with both classic and modern interiors.

I’m also loving patterned throw pillows this week. Bold prints and layered textures are an easy way to update a room without a full redesign. Pair them with solid colors and a few natural textures for balance and warmth.

Fabulous Inspiration

I’m drawn to bold, colorful rooms, and this week I found several examples that feel fresh and inspiring. A master bedroom refresh that uses dramatic color in a confident, balanced way caught my eye — it’s a good reminder that color can be both cozy and sophisticated when used thoughtfully.

I’m also tucking away a pretty idea for Christmas — yes, a little Christmas in July inspiration. Using blue and white elements on the holiday table creates an elegant, fresh palette that feels timeless and serene. It’s a great alternative to traditional holiday colors and translates well into seasonal decor that lasts through winter.

Finally, I fell for a stunning sideboard with classic lines and gorgeous detailing. It’s the kind of piece that anchors a space and becomes a go-to for styling vignettes — think lamps, art, and a few meaningful accessories to complete the look.
