Create a Cozy, Layered Thanksgiving Table in Traditional Fall Colors

Layering at each place setting adds depth and polish. Combine a round woven placemat with a sage green charger, then layer a neutral dinner plate and a smaller salad plate on top. The woven base brings a natural texture, while the chargers and plates define each person’s space and reinforce the color story.
Include an unexpected neutral to anchor the palette: here, a soft gray runner and matching napkins calm the richer tones and prevent the table from feeling too busy. A subtle neutral like gray provides contrast and keeps the overall look elegant and cohesive.
