This season, our front porch gets extra attention because Worthing Court sees so many visitors. I aim to create a welcoming, festive entry that sets the tone for the whole home. For cohesive holiday decor, I let the design of the family room trees guide my outdoor choices. The trees inside feature black-and-white buffalo check ribbon, red-and-white striped ribbon, eucalyptus, and pops of red. Matching the front porch decor to the interior creates a smooth flow and welcoming ambiance from the moment guests arrive.

My front door wreath echoes those interior details. I made this easy DIY wreath by tucking a variety of stems into a grapevine base, securing with floral wire where needed, and finishing with a large statement bow. The combination of greenery, red berries, and bold black-and-white ribbon feels classic and joyful—probably my favorite wreath yet.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the debate about where to place the bows on the topiaries. Opinions were split between the very top and the front. In the end, tucking each bow snugly beneath the foliage looked the most natural and finished. That hidden placement lets the greenery remain the star while the bows peek out just enough to add color and texture.

Alongside the topiaries, I placed wire baskets filled with fresh greenery, my favorite lanterns with candles, and a few red baubles for sparkle. Small plaid containers hold miniature Christmas trees topped with tiny bows to balance each side of the door and add charm at eye level.

The red, white, and black palette carries through to the welcome mats—bold, cheerful, and a simple way to reinforce the porch color scheme. Coordinating mats, wreaths, and topiary accents make the entry feel curated rather than pieced together.

Our porch is a generous Southern-style porch, so I kept the wide seating areas simple. Adirondack-style gliders sit on either side and are dressed up for the season with pillows and cozy throws—perfect for cool evenings. In warmer months we often sit out here to watch the dogs chase squirrels, but during the holidays it becomes a festive pause point for visitors.
