For the space above the bench in my breakfast room I wanted a much larger statement piece. After searching online and finding most large prints beyond my budget, I decided to create a large-format version myself.
Not everyone needs oversized wall art, so the printable is available in two sizes: an 8 x 10 for frames and a large-format file you can use to produce a prominent piece of wall art.
Side note: If the large file doesn’t match your frame dimensions exactly, most office supply stores can resize the file for you. I tried a few sizes at my store and the typography held up without distortion.
While the smaller 8 x 10 is excellent for tabletops or small frames, the larger print becomes a conversation piece—people often pause to read it, and I love that reaction.

How to create the large print
I didn’t print the large piece at home. Instead, I saved the file to a USB drive and took it to my local office supply store for professional printing. I used FedEx Office, but similar services are available at other major print shops.
Some stores offer online upload options, so you can submit the file from home. I prefer going in person so I can preview the print before it’s produced.
I initially attempted to mount the large print on foam board using Mod Podge, but that caused wrinkles and trapped air bubbles. In the end I paid a little extra to have the print mounted and laminated at the print shop, which produced a smooth, durable finish and eliminated the need for frame glass.
If I were to do it again, I’d try repositionable spray adhesive for mounting—it’s likely to give a smoother result than a wet adhesive and is worth testing for a clean finish.
