Welcome to The Weekly Muse — a behind-the-scenes look at this week’s happenings, small musings, and a handful of favorite finds that caught my eye. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

My Week at a Glance
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind, and I wasn’t able to check in last week. Thank you to everyone who reached out to ask how I was doing — your messages meant a lot. Between holiday preparations and the usual rush of life, my days have felt full and fast.
Much of my attention lately has gone to Christmas decorating and Thanksgiving planning. I had intended to publish my full Christmas home tour earlier this week, but plans changed when my daughter invited me to join her on a spontaneous trip to a few Christmas stores on Saturday. It was an easy invitation to accept and ended up being a lovely little adventure.
Tip: If you can, say yes to invitations from your grown children. The everyday moments add up, and the memories you create together matter more than any perfectly timed blog post. I’m so glad I followed my heart and went.

I’ll give you a sneak peek of this year’s tree here — simple, sentimental, and full of ornaments that bring back good memories. I hope to have the complete home tour published by midweek. If you can’t wait, you can revisit last year’s tour for inspiration and ideas that still feel fresh.
Sunday Scripture
It’s all too easy to lose sight of what the season truly celebrates amid the shopping, gatherings, and décor. A short pause to reflect helps me remember the heart of the holiday.
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” — Isaiah 7:14 (ESV)
This verse is a quiet reminder of the meaning at the center of Christmas for many of us: hope, wonder, and the reassurance that we are not alone.
Inspiring Ideas and Fun Finds
I’ve been bookmarking interior inspirations and small treasures that would work beautifully for holiday gatherings and beyond. Here are a few favorites that stood out this week:
– I’m completely taken with a blue-and-white Christmas living room I recently saw — the combination of chinoiserie patterns and soft winter blues feels both classic and modern. It’s a calming palette that still reads festive thanks to texture and layered details.

– Embroidered napkins always elevate a table. I adore the delicate stitching and the way they add a personal, refined touch to a holiday place setting. They’re a small detail that makes guests feel special.

– I’m also loving the idea of layering table runners on a Christmas dining table. Layering textures and patterns can create depth and visual interest while keeping the overall look cohesive and intentional.

– Tiny ginger jar ornaments are calling my name this season. They’re perfect as tree accents or clustered in a bowl as a tabletop vignette. Small, curated collections like this bring charm without clutter.

– For Christmas morning, our family tradition is a breakfast casserole that I’ve shared before. I’m tucking away an Eggs Benedict casserole recipe for New Year’s Day — a fantastic, indulgent alternative for a leisurely holiday breakfast or brunch.

These small discoveries — from textiles to tabletop accents and recipes — are the kinds of things that inspire me to refresh a favorite room or change one simple thing for the holiday table. Inspiration doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful.
